"I accidentally started studying with a different book and wasted a few of my limited available study weeks, so by the time I found this one I didn’t have a ton of confidence that I’d pass. Not only did I pass on the first try, I far outpaced the minimum requirements, and I credit that to this book. I found the practice test and chapter questions were much more challenging than the actual test, so by the time I took it the questions were a breeze. - I will credit this book for passing me on the PMP. I have my masters in PJM, attended a 35 hour boot camp in person, and took the test. I failed by a few questions as you can see above. I purchased this book, read it cover to cover twice. I read roughly 1-2 chapters a night and completed the quizzes. I took a week break inbetween and then did the 200question read. I memorized the IPECC ISSCQRCRPS chart and formulas. After that I scored much higher and as you can see. Listen to the books tips, read it, and take the PMp with confidence. Thanks guys!
- I took the PMP on December 12, 2018 and passed above target in all areas on my first try. I did not even open the PMBOK and used only two sources Andy Crowe’s Book and Rita Mulcahy’s book. Andy Crowe has a website and I also purchased access to one of his 200 question practice tests. I purchased Andy Crowe’s book on and Rita’s book on the RMC website. I originally started studying right when the test switched to the new version which made things really difficult due to the fact no resources were available. When I bought Rita’s book it was $100.
I studied for roughly 6 weeks and used Rita’s book for the first 3 weeks, Andy’s book for the next 2 weeks and then did just practice questions the last week. The test is 200 questions at took me all 4 hours to complete. The test is fairly difficult and the thing that I think helped me the most was doing hundreds of practice questions to help in understanding how the questions will be worded on the exam. The best questions were on Andy Crowe’s website (Velociteach Insite). The questions there helped me to understand the type of questions on the exam. I also like how Andy Crowe’s book is setup in the form of showing all process areas and the ITTO’s. I did not memorize the ITTO’s and don’t think it is necessary but I was able to memorize the process chart which I think is important in order to pass. If you are studying right, memorizing this chart is an outcome of studying.
The majority of my 200 questions were situational asking what the PM would do next or asking about different tools. I had 1 question asking about a network diagram which was an easy question and maybe 5 asking about Earned Value. Rita’s book and Andy’s book are very different in how to study for some of the questions which was frustrating and confusing. For example, Andy teaches the critical path method for network diagrams and Rita does not use this as the main method. The other confusing point was whether to start a network diagram at day 1 or 0. Rita also has many different formulas for calculating EAC and Andy Crowe just said to memorize one. Before the test I was able to brain dump 19 different formulas and only needed two of them for the test.
Overall, the test isn’t easy but if you study and do hundreds of practice questions, you can pass on your first try. Spend a few weeks studying and you’ll be just fine. If I had to choose only one source for studying, I would choose Andy Crowe’s book and his online practice tests. I don’t think you need more than one book. Andy Crowe’s questions in the book are closer to what is on the exam. Rita’s practice questions are easier than on the exam IMO. - Studied with this book for about 3 weeks and took the exam, passed on the first try. Author makes the concepts easy and focuses on everything you need to know, I didn't use anything other than this book. Price was only 68 when I purchased, not sure if its worth it for nearly 100 bucks.

- This book is not for me;
Cons
1. The text literally covers only half page rest half is for adding your notes why so much less content
2. Most of times many content/saves from repeating same but refers back to the previous sections is too annoying
3. Due to less content in pages, it lacks the grip to read the materials
4. When you filp through the pages - so much of space is wasted and so little content... repeating from 1 as it left with no impressoin to read this book.
Wasted the money.. better off with PMBOK. - I took some time to come back and write this review because I owe a lot to this guide for clearing my PMP. I failed the first time because I did not refer to the right resources and honestly did not understand many of the concepts.
I only did two things to clear the PMP. (Even though it's recommended that you read PMBOK guide, I could not do it. It's very dry).
1) Read and understood all that's said in this book. Understanding all the concepts make you more confident.
2) After finishing this book, I purchased the practice test from pm-exam-simulator.com. They have around 8 tests. It's an easy process to understand whether you are ready or not. If you can score more than 80% in their practice tests at the first attempt, you are good to go. I was able to achieve that only after the 6th practice test. But try to attempt the questions honestly. If you have a doubt, go this book and clarify for answers and or concepts.
Few golden tips
1) By heart and chew the tasks given in the PMI PMP Examination Content Outline. There are so many questions that can be answered if you just know this properly.
2) Know all the 49 process and their corresponding domain.
