- This new Cheri Verset story was sweeter than I thought it would be, which is nice. This is the story of Julianne who picks up her stepdad upon his release from prison. During the road trip home, they find themselves sharing a motel room and his urges bubble up. What's a stepdaughter to do? The book has some laughs, some romance, and I'll be reading it again soon.
