Cipher A Demonica Underworld Novella edition by Larissa Ione Paranormal Romance eBooks Reviews

  • I'm going to keep this short and simple because there's not much to say it was that boring. Cipher was betrayed and was dragged to Sheoul to turn True fallen. In all the books in this series, there has never been a character that can withstand turning evil when they are truly fallen and suddenly we have not one, but 2 of them that can. Cipher honestly brought nothing to the story line and we would've been fine without his story, but we got it and it took me 3 long days to finish it... it was that dry and boring. The "romance" between Lyre and Cypher seemed forced, as in she was just someone who was created out of thin air and suddenly she's a main character. She was weak with a nifty gift and just didn't DO anything except whine about her past as an angel and get treated as a walking board.
The only redeaming feature is Lilliana and Azagoth.... and that's it. i got nothin on this one. it was a book to read by a favored author and i'd have been fine in the storyline if i had never read it
  • These novellas haven't been my favorites if I am being completely honest. I have been underwhelmed by the memitim stories recently and this book didn't bowl me over. The overarching stories are great, but I have not liked a lot of the latest protagonists. Cipher is okay for the most part.
What I did like was the story building leading up to the full length novel Azagoth which I am very excited for. I really like Azagoth so getting of him in this book is great. Loved the foreshadowing of things to come. I rated this one 4 stars because these are still satisfying reads at the price point and the Demonica world continues to thrill. Looking forward to what's in store
  • I miss them all ! The whole demonica gang, especially the Seminus siblings. They didn’t make an appearance here though since the story revolves around Azagoth and his realm. I always love the politics of heaven (Reaver) and hell (Revenant) and how one character is link to another to get the Demonica series keep going. I love this new addition to the whole plot of the story. They’re definitely amassing all types of species for the Final Judgment. We’ve finally got Fallen Angels included in Team Heaven. I really wonder who’s pulling all the strings and putting all the pieces of the puzzle in its rightful place. So looking forward to Reaper. Thinking about the future books got me so revved up in thinking more theories on how it’s all gonna play out.
  • Oh Chiper you have done something....at what price???? I love the way Larissa Ione writes her stories. She makes all her characters come alive and I fall in love with every character she writes about. Oh man this story line is so interesting with the chemistry between all her characters, the passion, the anger, the struggles, and the battles still to come. Oh Hades, what Chiper did will bring a new battle on the front. You have to read this one and get all of Larissa Ione's writings! Yep Yep
  • I am a huge fan of this series and of the author. I snap these books up as quickly as they come out. This one just did not do it for me. The best part of the book was when it went away from the main characters to Azagoth. Cipher and Lyre just did not have any chemistry and the book was seriously lacking in the typical sexy times that the author weaves into the story.
  • Normally Ione’s romances have a lot of sizzle, this romance between Cipher and Lyre unfortunately fell flat for me. There was no incredible pull or attraction. What saved this novella was the return of Lillian and how it impacts Azagoth. The whole book felt like a set up for another book. Cipher really did deserve better.
  • I liked it. I think it was good. And inside glimpses for the next story are very much appreciated... Characters are likable and fun. But the Grim reaper still my absolute favorite...
  • Not only did I get the book on my shift at work. This was by far, the most heart pounding Novella I have ever read. I felt everything in the book that I literally had to catch myself to breathe. The emotions, anticipation and fear Oh God I couldn't take it. Now knowing this will continue, ahhhh please don't have me in the hospital from over excitement and a heart attack. I don't think my small plushy body can't take it. Larissa, marvelous work. Words can never express the joy I felt in this book.

    Keep doing a fantastic job.
